A Poem to Find Peace

BIBLICAL POINT OF REFERENCE:

"My soul, be at rest in God alone, from him comes my hope. God alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not fall. My deliverance and honor are with God, my strong rock; my refuge is with God. Trust God at all times, my people! Pour out your hearts to God our refuge!"

~Psalms 62:6-9

I found myself lacking inspiration for this week's article, and I really don't like writing unless I have something motivating me to write. I guess you could say things haven't been the best for me recently (don't worry, nothing serious), especially spiritually. Then I remembered this poem, and it made me feel more at peace. Go on and read this poem, and hopefully you'll find some peace too.

All these years I've been waiting for You,

Turns out You were waiting for me too.

Many times I traveled far and wide,

But now there's no where left to hide.

Lord, I'm here on my knees.

What will you do to comfort me?

How will I find my peace again?

When the wind blows, or when the storm ends?

How will find myself again?

What if I can't find peace again?

Searched a long while for a helping hand,

Sometimes I just don't understand.

I know a life with Yours is one to earn,

But it's so hard when you constantly feel the burn.

Lord I'm here on my knees.

What will you do to comfort me?

And if I find my peace again,

When the wind blows, or when the storm ends...

And if I find myself again,

Because I can find peace again.

Yes I will find my life again,

When the wind blows, or when the storm ends.

Yes I will find You again,

Because I can find peace again.

All these years I've been waiting for You...

...Turns out You were waiting for me too.

Your Laughing Sister,

Callahan
