Have a Little Faith

BIBLICAL POINT OF REFERENCE:

"What then shall we say to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?"

~Romans 8:31

I've often felt that it is difficult, especially in our secular society, to speak your mind about what you believe for fear of being rejected, shamed, or hurt. When the only support you have is silence, it's hard to break the pattern and make some noise. I have been thinking recently about how hard it was for me to start SheCanLaugh, mostly because I was afraid of what people would think of me if I openly admitted everyday how much I need and love God. But by the Grace of God, I stumbled upon this quote from the Bible this morning and found some inspiration: "What then shall we say to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?" I can't tell you ladies how many times I considered making this website anonymous so that people wouldn't know it was me writing about my faith. I was even hesitant to put my name and face all over the Twitter and Facebook pages for the website, not to mention the actual site itself; it's daunting to put yourself out there in such a public way. But God keeps reminding me that I'm doing it for Him, and for myself and others who recognize that they need Him in their lives. If God is calling you to a bigger purpose, take the hint. I remember having the idea to start SheCanLaugh, and a year later it is actually up and running! It's exciting to think that God knows where He wants you to go and will lead you right to it!

I'm still scared, ladies. I'm scared that I will be alone in this, and that I will get rejected for my beliefs. But I have nothing to lose, and everything to gain! My challenge for you all today is to have a little faith in God, because if it's meant to be, it will happen according to His plan. Smile through his Grace!
