Lord, Hear My Prayer

"When I am afraid, in you I place my trust."

~Psalms 56:4

Oh sweet, beautiful girl,

The world has seemingly pitted itself against you. Your prayers float in the air with no direct answer. Your once lively disposition has shattered into hundreds of pieces around you, and all you can think is, "How did I get to this awful place?" You've tried everything to just be happy, but now your questions are unanswerable in your hurting mind.

Loving daughter of Christ, don't you see your greatness and your worth? Don't you see your King's desire to fill you with His love, but even more so to have you accept it? Don't you know He will take your burdens from you and make you whole again? Every tear you cry will be wiped away, every worry that crosses your mind shall be raised up to the Lord, and every shattered piece of your being shall be put back together. Surely, you can hang on for Him. Undeniably, you are His most precious light and His most treasured gift.

So do not despair, my sister. Do not give up on the hope of tomorrow, do not let your fears rise above your faith. But most of all, do not underestimate the power of the Lord, for He sees the beauty in all creations. Take your weary soul and bring it before God; ask Him to guide you and protect you from the Devil's temptations, for you need only say His Name to be rid of the serpent's deadly snare.

You are kind, loving child, and you are brave. Your will to try again is courageous, and your energy is radiant in the darkness. Do not dim your beaming heart to the wrongs of mankind.

"For I am with you every step of the way," He says, "and I am so glad to have you on this journey with Me."

Your Laughing Sister,
